Some years ago an elegant German couple entered my shop. It was accompanied

by an enchanting creature that might be a dwarf poodle. Its hair was of two colours: black and white. I was shocked… “What a marvellous beauty is this? “ asked I.

“A Harlequin poodle! “ replied the German gentleman proudly. And I fell in love…

Not with the gentleman, of course. I took a firm decision – I want to have such a dog, I want to have not only one dog of this kind and on the whole I want to breed them.

Since that moment I met the dog, the “ dejavu” feeling hasn’t left me. I knew that somewhere and ever I had seen this kind of dog. Later I remembered where – in the old pictures of XVII – XIX centuries depicting the mode of life of aristocracy of that time.

The decision taken by me came true. Now I am an owner of a little family dog nur - sery. The Harlequins became the main point and sense of all my life. We all live under one roof. The favourite place for spending the evening time by my pets is my bed. It is called at us : “ Let`s go to watch TV!” We live in a picturesque place. Only two steps to the fields and woods, where we go for long walks gaily and with a joyful barking. So I had to learn it!

Poodles take the deserved place already for a long time. Clever, charming, talented

like all the poodles, pleasing the eye with their marvellous colour, they are wonder - ful partners and an attractive addition.

During our walks through the town a lot of people stop us and ask ( as I did that once too…) “ What a wonderful race is it? Is it a new breed ?” No, it is not a new breed, but an old already once forgotten one which has been revived for general

pleasure of poodle fans and is moving to stunning success with giant steps throughout the world!
