Seane Corn is an internationally celebrated yoga instructor known for her passionate, dynamic and inspirational style of teaching that incorporates both the physical and spiritual aspects of the yoga practice. Her classes integrate vigorous Vinyasa flow asana with the application of precise alignment, meditation visualization, intention and prayer to create an inner journey towards healing, self-awareness, acceptance and empowerment.

August 15 - 22, 2010 - 5th Annual Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Retreat with Tom Hoppel on Hvar Island, Croatia

 

                      

 

Brief Description: Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Retreat on Hvar Island, Croatia, the sunniest island in the Adriatic Sea,just opposite Italy. We will do yogasanas based on the Ashtanga series suitable for all levels at 9:30 every morning, and pranayama, chanting and relaxation in the early evening 4 days out of 7. We will practice outdoors, but protected from the sun. We will be close to town, and you can stay in any of the amazing houses around the harbor. Hvar is a lively & fun place with tons of amazing restaurants, beaches and things to do.  Yoga, beach, lively town - What could be more perfect?

 

Course Fee: Till May 30 2010: 300 USD, 350 after June 1. Housing:  Doubles from 25 Euro per person, per night. Singles from 45 Euro 

 

August 15 - 29, 2010 Teacher Training with Tom Hoppel on Hvar Island, Croatia

This teacher training will include asana classes each moring, lectures each day, and pranayama classes 4 days a week. Hvar is a perfect setting for those interested in deepening their yoga practice. We will stay close to town, and you can stay in any of the amazing houses around the harbor. You will learn asanas, adjustments, philosophy, pranayama techniques related to Ashtanga but also Viniyoga as taught by Desikachar and his family in Chennai. Certification upon completion of all assignements.

Students will participate in the retreat for the first week and have lectures 4 days. Required reading includes John Scott's Ashtanga Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga by Sharon Gannon & David Life, and the Heart of Yoga by Desikachar. Other optional recommended books include Yoga of Heart by Mark Whitwell, Viniyoga by Kausthub Desikachar.

Manju Jois will be back in Budapest for a 4 day workshop & Primary Series Teacher Training . We will explore the Primary series & work on Pranayama and Chanting.

Biographical Information:  Manju Jois, the oldest son of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and recognized world wide as the foremost authority on Ashtanga Yoga, used only the ancient practices, offering truly authentic guidance for all who wish to follow Ashtanga's life enriching path towards Enlightenment. Manju began his own personal yoga path at the age of 7 with his father as his Guru and began teaching at the age of 15. He has taught continuously throughout the world for 50 years.

Manju is dedicted to his mission of teaching the ancient tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, for a total mind-body-spirit unification with the Self and God.  Manju and his father, Shri Pattabhi Jois, brought Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga to America in 1975 and Manju has traveled worldwide teaching this tradition as taught to Pattabhi Jois by his legendary teacher T Krishnamacharya.  A 10000 forint or 50 Euro deposit will hold your place.
